Manns Sausage Salad
- 1 - 3 oz link of Manns Hickory Smoked Sausage
- 2 cups mixed greens
- 1/8 cup toasted pine nuts
- 1/4 cup blanched fava beans
- 1/8 cup grated aged asiago cheese
- 1/8 cup dried cranberries
- 2 tablespoons Maple vinaigrette
Toss ingredients with vinaigrette and serve. Makes 1 serving.
Manns Sausage Spaghetti
- 1 - 3.2 oz link of Manns Sweet Italian or Manns Hot Italian Pork Sausage grilled and sliced
- 1/16 of a cup of garlic
- 1/16 of a cup of rosemary
- 1/16 of a cup parmigiano cheese
- 1/8 cup diced roasted sweet red peppers
- 1/8 of a cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 4 oz thin spaghetti
- 1/16 of a stick of unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper (fresh ground if possible)
Saute grilled and sliced Manns Sweet Italian or Manns Hot Italian Pork Sausage. Add chopped garlic and cook lightly. Add chicken broth. Add fresh rosemary sprig. Cook until reduced slightly. Add unsalted butter, lemon, salt, and pepper. Add spaghetti and toss. Serve with parmigiano cheese.
Makes 2 servings.
Manns Sausage Soup
- 2 - 3.2 oz links of Manns German-Brand Fresh Pork Sausage
- 1 cup of diced carrots
- 1 cup of diced celery
- 1 cup diced white onion
- 1/16 of a cup fresh garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups white wine
- 1 cup crushed tomatoes
- 1/16 cup fresh sage
- 1 cup cannellini beans
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon parmigiano cheese
Saute carrots, celery, onion, and garlic until soft over medium-low heat. Add salt and pepper. Add crushed tomatoes and white wine. Cook for about 10 minutes or until reduced slightly. Add cooked cannellini beans with fresh sage. Bring to a boil and then reduce to medium-low heat to simmer. Add sliced Manns German-Brand Fresh Pork Sausage. Cook for 30 minutes on medium-low heat. Adjust seasoning to taste if necessary. When serving, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle parmigiano cheese on top.
Makes 2 servings.
Manns Sausage Crespelle
- 1 - 3 oz link of Manns Hickory Smoked Sausage
- 1 crepe
- 1/8 of a cup diced zucchini
- 1/8 of a cup diced snow pea shoots (or sprouts, if more readily available)
- 2 eggs scrambled
- 1/8 cup shredded provolone cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil pesto
- 1 tablespoon balsamic reduction
Lay out crepe and fill with sliced Manns German-Brand Fresh Pork Sausage, pieces of grilled zucchini, and fresh snow pea shoots. Drizzle with fresh basil pesto and small pieces of provolone cheese. Place scrambled eggs on top of crepe as well. Roll up and put on baking sheet. Bake in oven at 400 degrees for 5 minutes. Cut into 3 pieces and drizzle finished product with balsamic reduction.
